Removal and Installation of Rear Brake Piping and Brake Hose: Installation

  1. Install the rear wheel and tire. Refer to "ADJUSTMENT ".
  2. Install brake hose by aligning with the protrusion on brake caliper assembly, then install the union bolt and new copper washers and tighten union bolt to specification. Refer to "HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT ".
    CAUTION: Do not reuse copper washers.

  3. Connect brake hose to brake tube, partially tighten flare nut by hand as much as possible, then secure it to the bracket with lock plate.
  4. Tighten flare nut to the specified torque, using a suitable tool. Refer to "HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT ".

  5. Refill brake fluid and bleed air. Refer to "BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM ".
