Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  2. Remove both instrument panel side masks (1).

  4. Open the fuse block cover, remove the instrument lower cover screw (A), then remove the instrument lower cover (1).
    • Disconnect the harness connectors and aspirator hose.

  5. Remove the steering column covers, for power tilt.
    1. Remove the steering column screw cover finishers (1), then remove screws
    2. Remove the steering column cover upper (2).
    3. Remove the steering column side cover LH (4).
    4. Remove the steering column side cover RH (3).
    5. Remove the screws and remove the steering column cover lower (5).

  6. Remove the steering column covers, for manual tilt.
    1. Remove the steering column cover screw finishers (1), then remove screws.
    2. Remove the steering column cover upper (2).
    3. Remove the steering column cover lower screw, then remove the steering column cover lower (3).

  7. Remove the combination meter. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  8. Open the glove box door, remove the glove box assembly screws (A).

  9. Remove the glove box assembly lower screws (A), then remove the glove box assembly (1).

    • Disconnect the harness connectors.
  10. Detach the cluster lid D (1), using a suitable tool, then remove the cluster lid D assembly (1).

    • Disconnect the harness connectors.
  11. Remove the cluster lid C, for the base audio unit.
    1. Release the clips Δ and pawls ◦ and remove the cluster lid C lower finisher (1).

    2. Remove the cluster lid C with the base audio unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  12. Remove the cluster lid C for the Bose audio unit.
    1. Remove the cluster lid C screws (A), then detach the cluster lid C (1) and remove the cluster lid C (1).

      • Disconnect the harness connectors
    2. Remove the Bose audio unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  13. Remove the display screen. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  14. Remove the A-pillar finishers RH and LH. Refer to "EXPLODED VIEW ".
  15. Remove both the console side finishers.
  16. Remove both tweeter speaker grilles and disconnect the harness connectors.
  17. Remove both the RH and LH tweeter speakers. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  18. Remove the center speaker (if equipped). Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  19. Disconnect the passenger air bag connector and remove the passenger air bag bolt. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  20. Remove the remaining instrument panel screws (A).

  22. Disconnect the audio harness connectors located near the RH A-pillar.
  23. Lift the instrument panel high enough in order to disconnect the harness clip attached to the air duct, and all the necessary harness connectors, then remove the instrument panel.
