Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove engine undercover using power tool.
  2. Drain coolant from radiator. Refer to "CHANGING ENGINE COOLANT ".
    CAUTION: Perform when engine is cool.
  3. Remove drive belts. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
  4. Remove water drain plug on water pump side of the engine. Refer to "DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY ".
  5. Disconnect lower radiator hose.
  6. Remove engine coolant inlet and thermostat assembly.
