Rear Brake Pads: Installation
- Apply grease to the inner and outer shim, and then attach them to the pads. Attach the pad retainer to the torque member, and then attach it to the pad. When installing new pads, push piston back into cylinder body. Carefully monitor brake fluid level because brake fluid will return to the reservoir when pushing back piston.
- Close cylinder body down into the torque member. See Figure . Install a main pin bolt and tighten it to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check the brake for drag.
