Self-Diagnosis Procedure

CAUTION: If CONSULT-II is used with no connection of CONSULT-II CONVERTER, malfunctions might be detected in self-diagnosis depending on control unit which carries out CAN communication.
  1. With the ignition switch OFF, connect CONSULT-II and CONSULT-II CONVERTER to the data link connector, and turn the ignition switch ON.

  2. Touch "START"

  3. Select the desired part to be diagnosed on the "SELECT SYSTEM" screen.
    NOTE: If "BCM" is selected, a further selection of "BCM C/U" must be selected before proceeding with the following step.

  4. Touch "SELF-DIAG RESULTS".
  5. Make the necessary repairs following the diagnostic procedures.

  6. After the malfunctions are repaired, erase the self-diagnostic results stored in the control unit by touching "ERASE".
