S60, V70, XC70, XC90 & S80 - Built Before Chassis Number 29668

  1. To disable air bag system, make a note of radio code if anti-theft coded radio is installed. Turn ignition switch to OFF position and remove key. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable. Wait 3 minutes before starting work.
  2. To activate air bag system, ensure nobody is in the vehicle when battery is connected. This is a safety precaution in case an air bag module activates when the power is connected. When all components have been reinstalled, turn ignition switch to ON position (II). Connect negative battery cable. Perform system operation check to ensure proper system operation.
