Wheel Cylinder

  1. Remove brake drum and shoes. See Figure. See REAR BRAKE DRUM & SHOES .
  2. Check wheel cylinder for leakage. Check for wear, damage and loose conditions. Replace if any such condition exists.
    3. NOTE: Use brake fluid to clean cylinder. Never use mineral oil.
  3. Check all internal parts for wear, rust and damage. Replace if necessary.
  4. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. See Figure.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to scratch cylinder body when installing pistons.
