Diagnostic Procedure

SYMPTOM: Mode door motor does not operate normally.
- CHECK BODY GROUND CIRCUIT FOR MODE DOOR MOTOR
Continuity should exist.
If OK, check harness for short.
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 2.
- NG: Repair harness or connector.
- CHECK CIRCUIT CONTINUITY BETWEEN EACH TERMINAL ON A/C CONTROL UNIT AND ON MODE DOOR MOTOR

Continuity should exist.
If OK, check harness for short.
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 3.
- NG: Repair harness or connector.
- CHECK FOR A/C CONTROL UNIT OUTPUT
- Reconnect mode door motor connector.
- Measure voltage across A/C control unit harness connector M51 terminals 9 (L/B) and 12 (L/R) while turning air control dial to each position.
Voltage (V) : Approx. 12V
OK or NG
- OK: Replace mode door motor.
- NG: Replace A/C control unit.
