Removal and Installation: Removal

Discharge refrigerant from A/C system. Refer to "HFC-134A (R-134A) SERVICE PROCEDURE ".
Drain coolant from cooling system.
Disconnect heater hoses from heater core pipes.
Disconnect refrigerant lines from evaporator.
CAUTION: Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid entry of contaminants.
Remove the instrument panel. Refer to "INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY ".
Remove the blower unit. Refer to "BLOWER UNIT ".
Remove the temperature control cable clamp and then remove the cable from the air mix door lever.

Disconnect mode door motor connector.
Remove the heater and cooling unit.
