SYMPTOM:

There is large shock when changing from N to R position.

  1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS

Does self-diagnosis show damage to A/T fluid temperature sensor, line pressure solenoid valve or throttle position sensor [accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor] circuit?

    Yes or No

    1. Yes: GO TO 2.
    2. No: GO TO  3.

  2. CHECK DAMAGED CIRCUIT

    Check damaged circuit.

    1. : Refer to "DTC P0710 A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT ", "DTC P0745 LINE PRESSURE SOLENOID VALVE " or "DTC P1705 THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR [ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR] ".
  3. CHECK THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR [ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR]

Check throttle position sensor [accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor]. Refer to "DTC P0122 OR DTC P0123: THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR " and "DTC P2122 OR DTC P2123: APP SENSOR ".

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 4.
    2. NG: Repair or replace throttle position sensor [accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor].

  5. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
    1. Remove control valve assembly. Refer to "CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY AND ACCUMULATORS ".
    2. Check the following items:
    • Valves to control line pressure (Pressure regulator valve, pressure modifier valve, pilot valve and pilot filter)
    • Line pressure solenoid valve

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 6.
    2. NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
  6. CHECK SYMPTOM

    Check again.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: INSPECTION END
    2. NG: GO TO 7.
  7. CHECK TCM INSPECTION
    1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection.
    2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

    OK or NG

    1. OK: INSPECTION END
    2. NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
