Symptom:

A/T does not shift from D1 to D2 at the specified speed  .

A/T does not shift from D4 to D2 when depressing accelerator pedal fully at the specified speed  .

  1. CHECK SYMPTOM 

    Are 7. Vehicle Does Not Creep Forward In D, 2 Or 1 Position and 8. Vehicle Cannot Be Started From D1 OK?

    Yes or No 

    1. Yes: GO TO 2.
    2. No: Go to 7. VEHICLE DOES NOT CREEP FORWARD IN D , 2 OR 1 POSITION  , 8. VEHICLE CANNOT BE STARTED FROM D1 .

  2. CHECK PNP SWITCH CIRCUIT 

    With CONSULT-II 

    Does TCM INPUT SIGNALS in DATA MONITOR show damage to PNP switch circuit?

    Without CONSULT-II 

    Does self-diagnosis show damage to PNP switch circuit?

    Yes or No 

    1. Yes: Check PNP switch circuit. Refer to DTC P0705 PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION (PNP) SWITCH .
    2. No: GO TO 3.

  3. CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR.A/T AND CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR.MTR CIRCUIT 

    Check vehicle speed SENSOR.A/T (revolution sensor) and vehicle speed SENSOR.MTR circuit. Refer to DTC P0720 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR.A/T (REVOLUTION SENSOR)  , DTC VHCL SPEED SEN.MTR VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR.MTR .

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 4.
    2. NG: Repair or replace vehicle speed SENSOR.A/T (revolution sensor) and vehicle speed SENSOR.MTR circuits.

  4. CHECK THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR 

    Check throttle position sensor. Refer to DTC P0121, DTC P0122 OR DTC P0123: TP SENSOR , or DTC P0121, DTC P0122 OR DTC P0123: THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TP) .

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 5.
    2. NG: Repair or replace throttle position sensor.

  5. CHECK A/T FLUID CONDITION 
    1. Remove oil pan.
    2. Check A/T fluid condition.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 6.
    2. NG: GO TO  8.

  6. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM 
    1. Remove control valve. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Check the following items:
      • Shift valve A
      • Shift solenoid valve A
      • Pilot valve
      • Pilot filter

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 7.
    2. NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.

  7. CHECK SYMPTOM 

    Check again.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: INSPECTION END 
    2. NG:
      1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection.
      2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

  8. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM 
    1. Remove control valve. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Check the following items:
      • Shift valve A
      • Shift solenoid valve A
      • Pilot valve
      • Pilot filter
    3. Disassemble A/T.
    4. Check the following items:
      • Servo piston assembly
      • Brake band
      • Oil pump assembly

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 7.
    2. NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
