DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Xterra and 2002 Nissan Frontier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Turn ignition on.
  3. Select PURG VOL C/V P1444 of EVAPORATIVE SYSTEM in DTC WORK SUPPORT mode with CONSULT-II.
  4. Press START. Start engine and let it idle until TESTING on CONSULT-II changes to COMPLETED (it will take about 10 seconds).
  5. If TESTING is not displayed after 5 minutes, retry from step  2 .
  6. Press SELF-DIAG RESULTS. If NG is displayed, go to appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE.
  7. If OK is displayed, system is okay at this time.
