DTC Confirmation Test (Without CONSULT-II)

NOTE: Use the following test to check overall function of closed TP switch circuit. During this test, 1st trip DTC may not be confirmed.
  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Measure voltage between ground and closed TP switch signal circuit (Brown/White wire) at ECM terminal No. 28 by backprobing. See Figure or Figure . See Figure .
  2. At idle, battery voltage should exist. At 2000 RPM, voltage should be 0-1 volt. If voltage is as specified, system is okay at this time. If voltage is not as specified, go to appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE.
