DTC Confirmation Test

  1. Turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Start engine and let it idle for at least 15 seconds.
  2. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, go to next step.
  3. Maintain engine speed at more than 800 RPM for at least 5 seconds. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
