DTC Confirmation Test "C"

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Xterra and 2002 Nissan Frontier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Run engine for at least 10 seconds at idle speed.
    NOTE: If engine stalls or will not start, wait at least 10 seconds with ignition on.
  2. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, turn ignition off, wait at least 5 seconds and go to appropriate DTC CONFIRMATION TEST "D" .
