Possible Causes

ECM illuminates MIL and sets DTC P1336 when chipping of the signal plate (flywheel or driveplate) gear tooth (cog) is detected by ECM.
Possible causes are:
- CKP sensor (POS) circuit open or shorted.
- Poor, loose, corroded or damaged terminal connections.
- Defective CKP sensor (POS).
- Defective signal plate.
