Possible Causes

ECM illuminates MIL and sets DTC P0335 when:
- Malfunction A
TDC signal (120° signal) is not detected by ECM during first few seconds of engine cranking. - Malfunction B
TDC signal (120° signal) is not detected by ECM when engine is running. - Malfunction C
TDC signal (120° signal) cycle changes excessively when engine is running.
Possible causes of malfunction are:
- CKP sensor (REF) circuit open or shorted.
- Poor, loose, corroded or damaged terminal connections.
- Defective CKP sensor (REF).
- Dead or weak battery.
- Defect in starter system.
