Possible Causes (DTC P0117)

ECM illuminates MIL and sets DTC P0117 when an excessively low voltage from ECT sensor is sent to ECM. Possible causes are:
- ECT sensor circuit open or shorted.
- Poor, loose, corroded or damaged terminal connections.
- Defective ECT sensor.
