DTC Confirmation Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Pathfinder and 2002 Infiniti QX4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If DTC confirmation procedure had been previously run, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before continuing.

Turn ignition on. On scan tool, select DATA MONITOR mode. Wait at least 6 seconds. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
