Using Scan Tool

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
  2. Connect scan tool to data link connector located under left dash panel near the fuse box cover.
  3. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  4. Enter the program according to instruction on the screen or in the scan tool operation manual.
  5. Perform each diagnostic mode according to each service procedure. For further information, see scan tool manufacturer's instructions.
  6. At this point, scan tool should display all DTCs. Record DTCs in order displayed. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . Perform TCM SELF-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . Diagnose as necessary. See DIAGNOSTIC TESTS .
