WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Infiniti QX4, 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, and 2001 Infiniti QX4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The purpose of the road test is to determine the overall performance of transmission and analyze causes of problems. The road test consists of the following three parts:
- Check before engine is started.
- Check at idle.
- Cruise test.
Before road test, familiarize yourself with all test procedures and items to check. Conduct tests on all items until specified symptom is found. Troubleshoot items which check out no good after road test.
