Solenoid Valves

  1. Remove valve body assembly. Remove appropriate solenoid valve. See appropriate SERVICING article. Measure resistance between appropriate terminals of transmission terminal cord assembly 8-pin connector and ground. See SOLENOID VALVE RESISTANCE  table. If resistance is not as specified, replace solenoid.
  2. Check operation of solenoid valve by listening for its operating sound while applying battery voltage to appropriate terminal of transmission terminal cord assembly 8-pin connector and ground. See Fig 2. Replace as necessary.
