Diagnostic Procedure

Start engine. Using DVOM set to AC range, measure voltage (backprobe) between TCM harness connector terminal No. 38 and ground. Voltage should be about 1.2 volts. Voltage increases gradually in response to engine speed. If voltage is not as specified, check for continuity in wiring harness between TCM and turbine revolution sensor. Inspect ground circuit.
