TCM Power & Ground Circuits

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Infiniti QX4, 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, and 2001 Infiniti QX4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: For circuit identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and/or WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Measure voltage (backprobe) between TCM harness connector terminals No. 10, 19, 28 and ground. See Figure. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, inspect circuits between TCM and ignition switch. Repair as necessary.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCM connector. Check for continuity between TCM harness connector terminals No. 25 and 48 and ground. If continuity exists, circuit is okay. If continuity does not exist, repair suspect open ground circuit.
