Removal (Altima & Sentra 2.5L)

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove intake manifold collector, perform following steps in order:
- Drain engine coolant.
- Disconnect MAF sensor harness connector.
- Remove air cleaner case and air intake ducting.
- Disconnect PCV hose, EVAP canister purge solenoid and brake booster vacuum hose.
- Using quick connector release tool, disconnect fuel hose quick connector.
- Loosening bolts diagonally, remove electronic throttle control actuator bolts and actuator.
- Disconnect remaining harness connectors and vacuum hoses.
- Remove intake manifold collector supports and collector bolts and nuts in proper order. See Figure. Remove collector.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from pressure regulator. Disconnect fuel injector wiring harness connectors. Remove fuel rail bolts. Remove fuel rail with injectors installed, as an assembly. Remove fuel injector retaining clips from fuel rail, and pull injector from fuel rail.
