Connecting Rod Bushing Clearance (Small End)

  1. Measure the inner diameter "C" of the connecting rod bushing (small end).
  2. Measure the outer diameter "Dp" of the piston pin.
  3. Calculate the connecting rod bushing clearance.

    Connecting Rod Bushing Clearance = "C"-"Dp" 

    1. Standard : 0.005-0.017 mm (0.0002-0.0007 in) 
    2. Limit : 0.030 mm (0.0012 in) 
  4. If the calculated clearance exceeds the limit, replace the connecting rod assembly, or the connecting rod bushing, or the piston and pin set.
