DTC Confirmation Test

Malfunction is detected when an improper voltage signal is sent to ECM through vacuum cut valve by-pass valve. Possible causes are:

Vacuum cut valve by-pass valve circuit open or shorted.
Defective vacuum cut valve by-pass valve.

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Start engine and wait at least 5 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
