DTC Confirmation Test "B"

Malfunction "B" is detected when ECM receives an excessively low voltage from MAF sensor when engine is running. ECM will enter fail-safe mode. Possible causes are:

MAF sensor circuit open or shorted.
Intake air leaks.
Defective MAF sensor.

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR with scan tool. Start engine and wait no more than 5 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .

NOTE: If first trip DTC is detected after 5 seconds, malfunction "C" may be present.
