DTC Confirmation Test

NOTE: If DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, always turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.
  1. Turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Wait at least 10 seconds. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, go to next step.
  2. Read COOLAN TEMP/S value. If COOLAN TEMP/S is more than 140°F (60°C), allow engine to cool until COOLAN TEMP/S is less than 140°F (60°C).
  3. Wait at least 10 seconds. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
