DTC Confirmation Test

NOTE: If DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, always turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.
  1. Turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Ensure COOLAN TEMP/S reading on scan tool is less than 50°F (10°C). Start engine and let it idle for at least 65 minutes.
  2. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
