Disabling & Activating Air Bag System

WARNING: Accidental air bag deployment is possible. Personal injury may result. Wait at least 3 minutes after disabling air bag system before servicing air bag system.

To disable air bag system, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable, then positive battery cable. Wait at least 3 minutes before working on or near air bag system components.
To activate air bag system, connect positive battery cable, then negative battery cable. Check AIR BAG warning light operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
