Removal (For Deployment Only)

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Open seat back zipper to allow access to side air bag module. Pull up seat back trim. Remove and discard Torx nuts from side air bag module studs. Remove side air bag module wire harness clips. Remove side air bag module from seat back.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Use NEW Torx nuts coated with bonding agent when installing air bag module. Tighten Torx nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
