DTC Confirmation Test "C"

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Maxima and 2002 Infiniti I35. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition on and wait at least one second. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Shift transmission into Drive and wait at least 2 seconds. Shift transmission into Park or Neutral.
  2. Start engine and let it idle for 3 seconds. If DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
