Possible Causes

Malfunction is detected when there is a gap between angle of target and phase control angle degree. Possible causes are:
- IVT control solenoid valve circuit open or shorted.
- Defective IVT control solenoid valve.
- Defective Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor (POS).
- Defective Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor (PHASE).
- Debris accumulated on signal pick-up portion of camshaft.
