Removal and Installation: Removal

- Discharge refrigerant from A/C system. Refer to "HFC-134a (R-134a) Service Procedure "
- Drain coolant from cooling system. Refer to REFILLING ENGINE COOLANT .
- Disconnect heater hoses from heater core pipes.
- Disconnect refrigerant lines from evaporator.
- Remove the instrument panel. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION under INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY under GAUGES & INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT".
- Remove the blower unit. Refer to "BLOWER UNIT ".
- Disconnect mode door motor and air mix door motor connectors. See Fig 1.
- Remove the heater and cooling unit.
