Draining & Refilling: Transmission

Warm up transmission fluid.
Stop engine.
Remove drain plug, and allow fluid to drain. See Fig 1 .

Reinstall drain plug. Tighten drain plug to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Remove dipstick and add (same amount as drained) fluid through fill tube. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS
Warm transmission to normal operating temperature. Shift transmission through all gears. Move gearshift lever to "P" position. Check fluid level. See CHECKING FLUID LEVELS . Add fluid as necessary.
