Removal & Installation (RE5F22A)

  1. Remove battery and bracket.
  2. Remove shift cable from manual lever.
  3. Set manual lever in Neutral.
  4. Remove manual lever and install alignment tool (J45404). See Fig 1 .
  5. Loosen PNP switch bolts.
  6. Adjust PNP switch so that alignment tool pointer aligns with Neutral base line on PNP switch body.
  7. Tighten PNP switch to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Reinstall manual lever and shift cable.
  9. Adjust shift cable. See SHIFT CABLE  .
  10. Reinstall battery and bracket.
  11. Check continuity of PNP switch. See DIAGNOSIS article.
