Removal (2WD Vehicles)

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Remove brake caliper bolts, and wire caliper out of way. Remove wheel bearing lock nut. See Figure . Remove outer bearing and wheel hub assembly.
- Remove grease seal and inner wheel bearing. Use a brass drift to remove inner and outer races (if necessary). Wash wheel bearings in solvent, and air dry with compressed air. DO NOT spin bearings with compressed air. Inspect bearings and races for damage or excessive wear. Replace as necessary.
