Wheel Bearing: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove hub and knuckle assembly. See HUB & KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY . Place assembly in a soft-jaw vise. Drive hub and inner race from steering knuckle. See Fig 1.
- Press bearing inner (outside) race from hub, then remove outer grease seal. Remove inner grease seal from knuckle. Remove inner and outer snap rings from steering knuckle. See Figure. Press out bearing outer race.
