Rear Parking Brake Shoes: Installation

  1. To install, reverse order of removal noting the following:
    • Apply brake grease to the contact areas shown. See Fig 1 .
    • Install the parking brake shoe springs as shown. See Fig 2 .
  2. The orientation of the adjuster is different from left to right. Assemble the adjuster so that the threaded part is expanded when rotating it to the direction as shown. See Fig 3 .
  3. Completely retract the adjuster to assemble. When disassembling the adjuster, apply brake grease to the threads. After installing parking brake shoes and rotor, adjust the parking brake. See REAR PARKING BRAKE SHOES  under ADJUSTMENTS
