Brake Burnishing

NOTE:
Perform brake burnishing procedure after replacing pads and/or refinishing or replacing rotors.
Drive vehicle on straight smooth road at 31 mph (50 km/h). Using medium brake pedal effort, bring vehicle to a stop adjusting brake pedal effort so that stopping time equals 3-5 seconds. To cool brakes, maintain vehicle speed at 31 mph (50 km/h) between each braking procedure. Repeat 10 times or more to complete burnishing procedure.
