Diagnosis Procedure

- CHECK COMBINATION SWITCH (LIGHTING AND TURN SIGNAL SWTICH)
Check the combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch). Refer to "SYSTEM DESCRIPTION ".
Is the combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch) normal?
YES: GO TO 2
NO: Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
- CHECK HEADLAMP (LO) REQUEST SIGNAL INPUT
WITH CONSULT DATA MONITOR
- Select "HL LO REQ" of IPDM E/R DATA MONITOR item.
- With operating the lighting switch, check the monitor status.
Monitor item Condition Monitor status HL LO REQ Lighting switch 2ND ON OFF OFF Is the monitor item status normal?
YES: GO TO 3
NO: Replace BCM. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- HEADLAMP (LO) CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Check the headlamp (LO) circuit. Refer to "DESCRIPTION ".
Is the headlamp (LO) circuit normal?
YES: Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF IPDM E/R ".
NO: Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
