Removal and Installation: Installation

- Loosen the lock nut to adjust the input rod so that length (B) is within the specified value.
Input rod installation length (B): Refer to "BRAKE BOOSTER ".
- After adjusting input rod length (B), temporarily tighten the lock nut (1) and install the booster assembly to the dash panel.
- Install gaskets and spacer block between the booster assembly and the dash panel.
- Connect the input rod using the brake pedal clevis pin (2) and snap pin (1) from inside the vehicle.
- Install the brake booster using new nuts.CAUTION: Do not reuse the brake booster and brake pedal assembly nuts.
- Install the brake piping to the brake master cylinder. Refer to "HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT ".
- Connect the active booster and delta stroke sensor harness connectors (if equipped).
- Connect the brake booster vacuum hose and check valve to the brake booster.
- Install the master cylinder assembly. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- Adjust the brake pedal height. Refer to "INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT - STANDARD PEDAL ", "INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT - ADJUSTABLE PEDAL ".
- Tighten the input rod lock nut to specification.
- Refill with new brake fluid and bleed the brake system. Refer to "DRAIN AND REFILL ".
