Removal and Installation: Removal

- Discharge the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to "HFC-134A (R-134A) SERVICE PROCEDURE "
- Drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to "CHANGING ENGINE COOLANT ".
- Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core pipes.
- Disconnect the refrigerant lines from the evaporator.
- Remove the instrument panel. Refer to "INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY ".
- Remove the blower unit. Refer to "BLOWER UNIT ".
- Disconnect the mode door motor and the air mix door motor connectors.
- Remove the heater and cooling unit.
