Diagnostic Procedure

NOTE:
On vehicles with NVIS system, all ignition keys to be used with vehicle must be reprogrammed when PCM is replaced. See appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Also, IACV-AAC valve idle air volume learning procedure must be performed when PCM is replaced. See ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS

- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Perform DTC CONFIRMATION TEST again. If first trip DTC set, go to next step. If first trip DTC is not set, inspection is complete.
- Replace PCM. Program PCM. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION. Also, perform idle air volume learning procedure. See ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article.
