Circuit Description

The heated oxygen sensor (sensor 3), after ADS-TWC (Adsorber precatalyst), monitors the oxygen level in the exhaust gas. This sensor is used for recovery control of air-fuel ratio after the fuel-cut operation. This sensor is made of ceramic zirconia. The zirconia generates voltage from approximately one volt in richer conditions to zero volt in leaner conditions.
