DTC Confirmation Test "C"
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Sentra. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
If engine will not start or dies soon after starting, turn ignition on for at least 10 seconds then check for first trip DTCs.
Malfunction is detected when PCM receives an excessively high voltage from MAF sensor under light-load driving conditions. Possible causes are:
- MAF sensor circuit open or shorted.
- Defective MAF sensor.
Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Let engine idle for 10 seconds. If a first trip DTC is retrieved, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If first trip DTC is not retrieved, go to next DTC confirmation test.
