DTC Confirmation Test "A"

Malfunction is detected when PCM receives an excessively high voltage from MAF sensor when engine is not running. PCM will enter fail-safe mode. Possible causes are:
- MAF sensor circuit open or shorted.
- Defective MAF sensor.
Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See Figure . Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Wait 6 seconds. If a first trip DTC is retrieved, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE . If first trip DTC is not retrieved, go to next DTC confirmation test.
