Fuel Rails, Fuel Pressure Regulator & Injectors: Removal

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove cylinder block drain plugs and radiator drain cock, and drain engine coolant. Mark for reassembly and disconnect or remove air duct, blow-by hose, coolant hoses, vacuum and fuel hoses, wires and connectors from intake manifold collector.
- Remove upper and lower intake manifold collector nuts and bolts. See Figure. Remove fuel rail with injectors installed from intake manifold. See Figure. Remove fuel injector retaining clip from fuel rail, and push injector from fuel rail.
