Fuel Rails, Fuel Pressure Regulator & Injectors: Installation

Install NEW "O" rings on injectors and lubricate with clean engine oil. Install injectors to fuel rail. Align protrusion on fuel injector with protrusion on fuel rail. See Fig 4. Install NEW injector retaining clip. Install fuel rail. Tighten fuel rail bolts (in 2 steps) to specification. Using NEW gaskets, install intake manifold collector and tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . When tightening intake manifold collector bolts, tighten in numerical order, see Fig 3. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Start engine and check for leaks.
